May Running Recap

I don't have much to talk about for running in May. It was a lot of excuses and not a lot of running. I started a low heart rate training plan with my Garmin. It start the last week of April but I only ran 3 days and allowed every excuse to seep in. A lot of my excuses were coming in the form of trying to get bags done for a Mother's Day launch. Then it was working on my mom's cross stitch. Then it was working on my next bag launch.

I will say that my new mantra is "Trust The Process" because coming off a half marathon that I averaged a 13:30 pace and completing a 20 min run with a 5 min warm up and 5 min cool down getting me to almost 1.25 miles was humbling to say the least! As of today, 6.5.24, I restarted my low heart rate training plan and have successfully completed 2 of my runs on the treadmill and I think it's harder to keep the heart rate down on the tread then it is outside but that's part of June's recap.


I have signed up for the Space Force T-Minus 10 Miler again. It's the 3rd year and my 3rd year. I truly hope to do it in person some day. I also wish I had the money to sign up for the Bay Bridge 10K in November. It could totally be a long run during my 10 miler training but lack of funds!
