I Saw You¹ by CherAnn Wright, eBook, 356 pages

Synopsis from GoodReads: She’s losing hours. Someone else is finding them. Best selling author Paige Thomas is doing everything she can to rebuild her life after a devastating accident, writing again, keeping up appearances, and pretending the blackouts are not getting worse. Each time she wakes, there are new bruises, strange memories, and gaps she can’t explain. She tells herself it is stress. She tells everyone else nothing at all. Her husband, Michael, is trained to understand the mind, yet he is too distracted by secrets of his own to see that his wife is spiraling. His most unsettling patient, a blindfolded man named Vincent, whispers warnings in riddles that his secrets could destroy everything he loves.

Paige turns to her estranged mother, Darlene, who senses that her own ghosts are returning. Twenty-five years ago, she survived a man with green eyes who had a talent for making reality bend around his lies. She has spent decades trying to forget what she did to survive. But Paige’s blackouts, the tattoo that shouldn’t exist, and a familiar name on her daughter’s lips tell Darlene that the past isn’t finished.

Paige, Michael, and Darlene are on a collision course with a truth buried deep in memory, one twisted enough to shatter everything they believe about themselves and each other. And all three are about to wish they had listened to the same warning: The truth is coming for them. And it knows what they’ve done.

BOOK REVIEW: In March of 2025 I saw a post on TT from the author about this book and I was immediately intrigued and I did something that I have never done before. I sent her a message on IG asking if I could be an ARC reader for this book. I have never asked an author this before. I have signed up via forms and such to join ARC teams but never saw a post and said I need to read this but I'm so glad she said yes! This book took me on a ride! Classified as a psychological thriller is an understatement because it totally messes with your mind!

Each POV we get is in the first person which I LOVE SO MUCH! Let me rephrase...I don't necessarily love multiple POVs but I love that we get their chapter told from their own voice. That said, I don't know if I could nail down anything specific that I loved the most outside of that. This book is full of twists and turns that left me with my jaw on the floor at times. Was I completely blindsided through this whole book? No. Was I able to connect some dots? Yes. Did it leave me with a sense of peace that the story was wrapped? Yes...but also left me saying WTF but in a great way! My first 2026 read of the year had to start off as a 5 star read! This is the first I've read from this author and it won't be the last. She has a series out that I need to binge now! She does a great job with her characters and bringing them to life off the pages as well as being able to describe in wonderful detail the scenes, settings, surroundings, whatever you want to call it. I could smell the forest with Paige as she went to see her mom. I could hear the ocean and feel the bite in the air off the deck of Paige and Michael's home. I could feel Vanessa's fury and feeling used but also feel a little a kin to Darlene's 25 year flash backs. This book is out today on Amazon. Go get it!
