BOOK REVIEW: Y'all!!!!!!! When I tell you that I haven't had a jaw dropping cliff hanger in a book since the Hollis Timewire series, I am not lying! The only difference is I had that whole series and this is book 1! The way my jaw dropped and the anger bubbled...but you know I don't give out spoilers. I was originally thinking that this was a 4.5 star read because the author uses a few words and phrases so many times that I was getting annoyed but the story made up for it! The world building that the author has done and the characters that we meet are amazing. I felt everything Eva was feeling and I will say that around Parent's Day I literally shed a tear. It brought back a certain memory of mine. Not that I was in the same position as Eva but it hit home.

No kidding, as soon as I finished the book, I went to my phone, opened the email from the author and sent her a message containing (and I quote), "I beg your finest fucking pardon." I wasn't sure how I was going to put words down for this review! I have been in all my feels for this. Think of this as a Hogwarts for adults in a way. The way Eva just accepts that this is where she is supposed to be without any questions and then there was a nickname given that I can't say more of because I don't want to give anything away.

Like I said, this was going to be a 4.5 star read but the world, characters, and storyline brought it up to a 5 star read. If you want to give this author a follow, I have her TikTok linked to her name at the top of this post that can take you to her other socials. Currently this series doesn't have a title and Bound Souls releases on 11.22.24 and she is working on the sequel already so hopefully we won't have to sit on that cliff hanger for too long!

5/5 Stars
