BOOK REVIEW: This was a fantastic book! Like I finished the book and my daughter, who is 8 years old, asked me what it was about and I told her all about it. I didn't go into details because some of it is a little graphic for her (like people being attacked, beaten up, drowning, etc.) but gave her the best recount. I got to the end and told her that I need to know what happens next. She said well keep reading and finish the story. I said I finished the book and the next one isn't out yet! She said OH! I told her that is the best feeling when the first book of a series hooks you and you need to know what comes next!

I'm not sure I can pick a favorite part but there was a scene when Nadia was in the library at the Sacred Seven's compound and she was in awe. Now one thing that isn't mentioned in the synopsis is that the Sacred Seven have confiscated all the books. It's rare to find a book in the wild, so to speak. She looks around and cannot believe that the books weren't destroyed as the people were lead to believe. I can only imagine the look on her face was something like Belle's when she walked into the library in the Beast's castle. There's even a rolling ladder!

This is a 5. Hard and fast! The world that the author has started to build is amazing. She tied this off with a perfect bow. It's a cliff hanger but not the kind that pisses you off. It's the kind that you can't stop thinking about. It's been less than 48 hours and I have so many questions! One of the things that I really liked that the author did was how the Masters (the Sacred Seven) addressed their servants. I don't want to say what it is but it's something I've never seen/read before. Again...I have so many questions! As of this review date, the eBook is part of the KU member library and it's available in hardback and paperback. Highly recommend giving this a read!
