BOOK REVIEW: I am so excited that I remembered to look for this book when I did! I was fortunate enough to be selected to read Heir of Storms (book 1 - see related posts for my review) as an ARC and when I looked to see if this was available on NetGalley, I asked to read it and was approved! There were some things that I had forgotten about but was quickly reminded of when I started reading this book. A big difference is that we're not just reading from Blaze's perspective. We also get Flint (her brother) and Elva (the serf that took care of Blaze in book 1). That's generally my max capacity for POVs (with very few exceptions) but it was nice to see each of the three story lines go on and come together.

I loved seeing the relationships between the character grow and change. Blaze with Fox, Flint with Spinner and Sheen, and Elva with Hal and Ingra. Without getting into specifics and giving spoilers, we do get some hints with a little steam (zero spice) that left me yearning to see what happens with the characters and how that could effect their relationship status. Just when you think you know how the story is going, you get a mic drop. So many things have changed for all the characters in the course of...what...a year.

This is 5 stars for me, clearly! The author has expanded the world she created and has us traveling in different lands. We're seeing characters grow (good? bad? you'll have to read to find out) and learn. I don't think we're introduced to many new characters but I think maybe a few were mentioned in book 1 but were more involved in book 2. It's been a year since I read Heir of Storms and I've read so much since then! Regardless I have no idea what we are going to get in the final installment of this trilogy but I bet it will be epic! This book is out today and available in all formats. If you haven't read Heir of Storms¹, do that first and then come back to this one!
