BOOK REVIEW: So it took me a bit to get through this one and not because I couldn't get into it. That was definitely not it. Life happened and I would pick it up and put it down. Here's the thing. By the time I got to the end, we basically got like 3 different stories in this one book. I mean the synopsis says it all. We get better acquainted with Ezekiel, we meet and help the Siren Kingdom, and then Julian is just as big of an ass in this one as in the last and that's all I'll say on that. There was an array of feelings felt in this book and I wouldn't change a thing...well almost nothing but no spoilers!

I honestly don't know what my favorite part could be. There were so many wonderfully written scenes. We did get some kind of spice. Again, it took me a minute to read this all the way through so I could be forgetting how spicy those few scenes actually were but I don't think they were on any level close to what was in Witch's Brew (different author and series). What we get to see more of in this book is how resilient Ember truly is and I love that. There is still something about the Windiga that I think I missed when reading but again...no spoilers.

This is another 5 star read for this series. The author's story telling ability shines in this second installment of her Fantasy world. I'm sure I mentioned it before but I mean we have dragons in this! Did you catch that...I said dragons with an S...that means plural! I'm excited to see what happens next but also sad because I know it's the final installment. I think that's a sign of a great story. When you're sad that it's coming to an end. I can't wait to see what Ember does next to solidify her place as Queen!

5/5 Stars
