BOOK REVIEW: A holiday isn't complete in Holiday Junction without a festival and a murder. I love all the characters and who couldn't love some with the nicknames of Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy? I know it sounds silly but that's what a cozy mystery is all about. This is a quick and easy read that has the classic who-done-it coming out of nowhere. I know I don't give my favorite lines or quotes usually but this one doesn't give anything away.

He eyed me with the kind of suspicion usually reserved for bank robbers and people who didn't like biscuits and gravy.

I laughed out loud when I read that line and immediately highlighted it to share. The characters are fun and colorful as always from this author, along with the wonderful seaside small town being someplace I would love to visit.

This is a 5 star for me. Like I said, it's a quick read, full of fun characters, and I love that all the holidays have their own festivals. I did start to cringe a little when Violet was having a beer with her dad and kept calling her daddy over and over again. I understand that is a southern thing but the repetition in just about a page or so started to give me the ick. Definitely recommend this one and if you're not a resident of Holiday Junction yet, what are you waiting for?
